Small Keepsake Teddy Bear
A soft, comforting 37 cm teddy bear, lovingly made by Camille from Cami Bears to hold a small amount of ashes or another precious keepsake from someone you love, including a special pet.
This traditional-style bear is beautifully soft and cuddly, finished with a ribbon neck tie in a complementary colour. The Small Bear does not have a tummy fabric patch, but one or both feet can be embroidered with your special words and, where possible, a simple graphic.
Personalise your bear
- Bear colour: Soft Pink, Soft Blue or Vintage Brown
- Foot embroidery: One or both feet, $20 per foot. A simple graphic may also be possible if a suitable embroidery file can be sourced.
Small Bear details
- Approximately 37 cm tall when standing
- Includes a red heart tin, approximately 7 cm wide and 3 cm deep
- The tin holds up to around ¼ cup of cremated ashes or another small keepsake
Ordering, delivery and pricing
Turnaround is usually around 3 weeks, and I will keep you informed if this changes. Delivery can be arranged directly to you, or you can collect from my HWCS Studio in Bayles. I can also support you with placing ashes into your bear if you would like.
Cami Bears are made personally by Camille in her Queensland workshop. Bears ordered through Harris Wood Creative Studio are priced the same as ordering directly from Cami Bears, with a familiar local place to discuss your order, bring ashes if you would like support, and collect your finished bear.

HOW LONG WILL MY BEAR TAKE TO BE MADE?
Crafted by the talented Camille in Queensland, each of these charming bears is individually made in about 3 weeks, depending on the chosen embroidery. With a personal touch, Camille infuses each bear with love, empathy, and meticulous attention to detail.
Postage time is not included in this timeframe.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT SIZE BEARS?
Yes - there are 3 sized bears -they all have different names.
1. The Large Teddy Bear Urn is 60cm tall standing.
2. The Keepsake Bear Urn and The Teddy Bear Urn, both stand at 50cm (37cm sitting) and they are available in Vintage Brown, Teal Blue & Soft Pink.
3. The Small Keepsake Bear is 37cm tall standing.
HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH THE ASHES WILL WEIGH?
As a guide, the Large Teddy Bear Urn will hold most Adult quantities of Ashes. The average weight is between 1.8 and 3.5kg, depending on the build and also the process which may vary with different cremation providers.
TRANSFERRING THE ASHES
Having gone through the experience of handling my son’s ashes, I understand how overwhelming it can be. To help ease that journey, I’ve created a couple of gentle options.
- if you are local to me in Bayles, I can do this for you while you wait. I can do this with you or I can do it in another room.
- you can take your Bear to your Funeral Director and ask them to do it for you
- have someone you trust help you with the process. A close family member or a close friend.
- if you choose to do it yourself it is advisable to do this on top of a clean sheet or similar, so that any spillage can be easily gathered and placed with the Ashes in the bear.
MOST IMPORTANTLY -
Be kind to yourself with this process - don’t push yourself to do it until you are ready. You could play their favourite music and light a candle or two to make it feel special. ♥️
ARE THE BEARS WASHABLE?
Yes you can wash your bear. Please follow these instructions to do
- Remove the memorial contents and place the bear into a laundry bag or pillowcase and wash on a cold gentle cycle.
- Hang out in the sun to dry and finish off in the dryer for approximately 15 minutes to fluff the bear back up.
EMBROIDERY QUESTIONS
Q: Can I choose not to have embroidery on the fabric panel?
A: Yes - just choose - No Embroidery
Q: Can I have a picture or graphic of something that is relevant to my special person or pet embroidered?
A: Yes - it is possible. You can request a particular type of graphic e.g. guitar and I will talk to Camille about the options and get you to approve them before they are embroidered.
