How the process works
Your keepsake journey, one gentle step at a time
Choosing a memorial or celebration piece is deeply personal. Whether you’re honouring a loved one, preserving a precious memory or marking a special moment, you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
I’m Kathy, and I’ll help you understand your options and what happens next. Your resin stone is handcrafted by me in my Bayles workshop, with care for the precious materials you entrust to me.
💙 1. Choose a piece that feels right
Browse my jewellery and keepsake collections at your own pace. You can choose a memorial piece with ashes, hair, fur, breastmilk or other meaningful inclusions, or a symbolic piece without inclusions. Suitable materials vary by design, so please check the product details or ask me before ordering.

🛍️ 2. Place your order
Order online when you’re ready, or contact me if you’d prefer some personal guidance first. Please check your chosen product’s specifications, options and timeframe before ordering.
If you have a special date in mind, please speak with me before placing your order. Any deadline needs to be agreed in advance.
📦 3. Prepare your precious inclusions
A complimentary Inclusion Kit is available as an optional add-on and will be sent to you free of charge. It includes equipment and instructions to help you safely package your precious materials.
If your piece won’t contain inclusions, you can skip this part of the journey. If you’re unsure what to send or how much is needed, please ask me before posting anything.
💌 4. Send your inclusions to my workshop
Follow the kit instructions, label your materials with your name and order number, and return them to me. Return postage is at your cost. Keep your tracking details if you choose a tracked service.
You can also arrange to drop your inclusions off at Bayles. Please contact me before visiting so we can organise a suitable time.
If you feel unsure at any stage, I’m happy to help.
✨ 5. I create your resin stone or keepsake
Once your inclusions arrive, I carefully prepare them and handcraft your resin stone or keepsake in my Bayles workshop. For jewellery, I create the resin stone and set it into your chosen jewellery setting.
Every piece is individual. The natural colour and texture of your inclusions help shape the finished result, so example photos are a guide rather than an exact match.
For non-solid-gold memorial jewellery, turnaround is generally a standard 8 weeks but can be sooner but can also vary depending on current orders and my life/family circumstances. Please allow this time from receipt of your inclusions.
Solid gold jewellery has a minimum turnaround of 12–16 weeks from receipt of inclusions. Keepsake timeframes vary, so please refer to your chosen product page.
🎁 6. Your finished piece comes home
Your jewellery or keepsake is carefully packaged with care instructions and a handwritten note, ready to make its way home to you. Any unused inclusions are returned with your finished order.
I usually send a photo of your resin stone before it is set into the jewellery, particularly where colours or variations need to be checked.
