How the process works
Choosing a memorial, symbolic, or celebration piece can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Here’s a gentle, step-by-step guide to help you understand what to expect – whether you’re honouring a loved one, marking a special moment, or simply exploring what feels right for you.
Remember, if you can get to Bayles, you are welcome to book a free consultation with Kathy. You can also book this to be via Zoom or Phone.
1. Choose Your Design
Browse our jewellery and keepsake collections at your own pace. Every piece can be created as a memorial (with ashes, hair, fur, breastmilk, sand, or other precious inclusions), symbolic (no inclusion), or to celebrate a special moment. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to reach out to Kathy for gentle guidance.
2. Place Your Order
Order online, or contact Kathy directly if you prefer a more personal approach. You’ll receive a confirmation and a gentle introduction to what happens next.
3. Receive Your Inclusion Kit (if applicable)
We’ll send you a secure, clearly labelled inclusion kit with easy instructions. The kit includes everything you need to safely send a small amount of your chosen inclusion. Kits are designed for peace of mind and can be posted Australia-wide. They can be returned for the cost of 2 x $1.70 stamps and an additional $5.85 for tracking if preferred.
4. Send Your Inclusions
Place your inclusions in the provided containers and return them using the pre-addressed box (with tracking if you wish). If you feel unsure at any stage, you can contact Kathy for support.
5. Your Piece is Created
Kathy carefully prepares your inclusions and creates your resin stone in her Bayles studio, then sets it into your chosen jewellery or keepsake. Every order is handled with empathy, respect, and gentle communication.
6. Your Jewellery Comes Home
When your piece is ready, you’ll receive updates and photos if you wish. Your finished jewellery or keepsake is sent to you in a quality gift box and care instructions and a handwritten note.
Questions or feeling unsure? You’re always welcome to reach out to Kathy at any point in the process. There’s no pressure and no rush – you can move at a pace that feels right for you.
