Memorial Resin Egg with Ashes

These eggs are completely handmade and after the style or scene is created and set in resin they are cured for a couple of weeks and turned on a woodturning lathe.  An egg mold is not used and the shape is created by hand.  The sanding and polishing is also done by hand which is very labour intensive and time consuming.

I will need to chat with you on messenger, email or on phone, to discuss what you'd like me to achieve for you with your inclusion.  Tell me about the person (or pet) so I feel I know a little about the personality. Photos if possible is also a good thing for me to have when creating.

The eggs will be roughly 8-10 cms high and have a piece of unique burl wood in the base and the resin on top with inclusions as agreed upon whether than be a minitiature scene or just a colour concept.

The base is created first, creating a look or a miniature scene that we have discussed earlier.   Resin is mixed and added as per the order.

After the resin, wood and the inclusions have cured for a good 7 days or more, it is put on a lathe and shaped.  After getting the desired shape I will then sand and polish until I'm 100% happy.  This is a long process.  I would suggest that it can be up to 6 plus hours solid work but is broken up into segments of time.

These eggs are very time consuming and created in an intuitive way.  If I'm not in the right mindset I don't work on them as I must put the right "energy" into them.   I have level 2 in Reiki and hope that with this attitude I can imbue the healing energy into them.

Because of this, the turnaround can be up to 16 weeks or more -  but I'm sure you can appreciate the importance for doing them this way.  I will update you as much as possible. 

When completed, your Memorial Resin Egg will be sent to you in secure and padded packaging with tracking and insurance if requested.  If there are any ashes left over they will be returned to you with your completed egg.
