I love using the engraved boards to put shared help yourself food on our dinner table. I don’t cut on them if it doesn’t cut easily as you will inevitably end up with cut marks on your board which are unsightly after not too long. This meat cut like butter so was fine.
This round paddle board we have used for a couple of years and still looks great.
The oil will not harm the board but make sure you hand wash it thoroughly with a soft bristled brush to remove any food scraps that have possibly remained in the engraving.
Make sure you air dry it thoroughly before reuse.
